What Shoes to Wear

The black trouser is a key staple wardrobe piece. And this season it's also a key trend - which will make it easy for you to find a pair in your favourite shop! I really like these ones from Zara. They have a cropped leg for showing off your favourite heels and the high waist is perfect for tucking in tops or shirts.

But a question I keep getting asked is what shoes can you wear with these trousers? Shoes or lack of the right shoes can stop you from wearing lots of the clothes that you have in your wardrobe. So the next time you're rummaging through your wardrobe trying on endless outfits and rejecting each look because you don't have the shoes to wear with it, make a note in your phone of what shoes you need. Then, the next time you're treating yourself to something new, instead of buying a new top or dress get those shoes you need. Your wardrobe will love you and your outfit options will have multiplied!!

Ok back to shoes for a black trouser, for me the obvious shoe choice which will cover all dressy occasions from work to going out is the Stiletto/Court Shoe. Loving these bow back ones from River Island and they are also available in Purple.

But what about for everyday wear, be it to the office or a day in town or a lunch, when you want to still look polished and stylish but want a more comfortable foot friendly choice? Well that's exactly what my finds here today are perfect for!! There isn't a high heel in sight. I have only chosen neutral colour shoes so they will match with all your outfit choices. Once you have a neutral shoe for wearing with your trousers you can then look to a colour or printed version to add to your wardrobe. Hope you like my selection!!
