Saturday Night Styling, How to wear Navy

Hope you're all having a lovely and relaxing Saturday. I'm taking it easy today as I was out last night at a gig in Carpe Diem, Carlow. My brother-in-laws band were playing and they were unreal. Nothing beats live music on a night out, it's always guaranteed to be a brilliant night. Carlow Arts Festival is on this weekend so I'm hoping, if I can stay awake, to go to an acrobatic outdoor show with fireworks tonight. After this post I'll need to to plan a warm layered outfit to wear.

Last night I wore a navy dress that I have about 4 years and I love it just as much now as I did when I bought it in A|wear all those years ago. It got me thinking about the neutral colour navy. I really don't think navy gets enough credit. Personally I love encouraging people to wear navy. This classic hue is one of the best neutrals, it's up there with black. Navy is softer on our skin tone than black and simply has an elegant timeless quality. I really don't believe I'll ever tire of this dress.

With navy on my mind I decided this weeks Saturday Night Styling post would have to feature navy. I began my search on Littlewoods, trying to find a navy dress but nothing grabbed my attention. Then I moved to Zara and searched navy dress and my eyes were immediately caught by this stunning dress coat

Frock Coat with faux pearls €59.95 from Zara......Buy Here

What a stunning coat!!! The feature sleeves are obviously very trendy right now, but I think on a coat like this it won't go out of style. Again pearls are a big trend also this season, however we all know pearls are a classic, a definite forever piece. So don't be afraid to splash out on this coat.

I have a major addiction to shift dresses. They really suit my shape and are just so comfy to wear and so easy to style for a dressy occasion or for casual wear. This shift is from Zara, I really like the combination of white and silver, it's such a fresh look for summer.

Accessorising this look is so easy, just add a splash of pearls with your jewellery and some shiny metallics to your feet.
