Saturday Night Styling....The Little Black Dress

It's Saturday and I'm wishing that I was planning an outfit for a Saturday night out. Instead I'm currently sitting at my dining room table blogging while nursing a hangover. Why my head is banging so badly is beyond me as it was only four drinks (a cosmo and three glasses of red). So now I'm doing my best not to listen to that little voice whispering 'is it because you're turning 40 soon? maybe you're just getting old'. Thankfully there's a louder more sensible voice saying age means absolutely nothing. To be perfectly honest the older I get the more I'm enjoying and appreciating life so bring it on.

For those of us, who ARE heading out tonight I have put together a little outfit inspiration.

It's been a while since I've splurged on an LBD, such a handy piece to have in your wardrobe.  We always feel confident in our fave black dress plus it is so easy to accessorise especially if you are in a hurry to go to a last minute night out. Loving the detail in this black dress below; pockets (we all love pockets), belt to define your waist, the stunning neck tie and the sexy split. It kinda sounds like there is a lot going on, but it works! This classy little black number is from River Island and is also available to purchase on Littlewoods Ireland allowing you to spread the cost or put payment off til payday!

Styling Tip
For me the best thing about a black dress or an all black outfit is the fun we can have with accessories. Add pops of exciting colour or striking prints.

Instead of matching your bag and shoes try something different. Tie a colour pop shoe into your outfit by matching it with your nails or maybe with your jewellery.

Vinyl High heel sandals Zara €39.95......Buy Here

Bag with interchangeable flap €29.95 Zara......Buy Here

Does anyone else love accessories with options? Zara's interchangeable bag has me obsessed. The flap on the front zips off and comes with a second piece to create a completely different bag.....brilliant!!

Styling Tip
Something I love doing with my bags is adding brooches or gluing on embellishments particularly when I have an occasion, I really enjoy updating a bag to co-ordinate with my outfit.

Gold pearl and diamante ear cuff New Look €3.99......Buy Here

Ear cuffs are my new fave accessory and with my recent short hair cut they really stand out.

Red Carpet Nail Polish Debenhams €10......Buy Here

Hope you enjoyed my outfit inspiration and tips. As always if there is anything you would like to see me feature or if you have any queries do get in touch.

Happy Shopping!!
