When the weather is changeable like this, we really need to take a little extra care of our skin to prevent the above symptoms. Don't be tempted to over-scrub the dry skin patches, as this may cause sensitivity.
- Gently exfolliate the skin using small circular movements (see my tips on exfolliation in my Beauty Tips Folder,) once or twice a week - that's enough.
- Use a nourishing face mask once or twice a week, such as Clarins Hydra Quench Cream Mask €36, Liz Earle Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask €17, or for a budget busting recipe see below!
- Use an extra rich night cream at night to rejuvenate and repair the skin. Try Lancome Genefique Repair Nuit €70, or The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Night Cream €20
- You can also try using almond oil as a deep moisturiser or mask every few days.
Fo instant results, if necessary or just for a wee treat, book yourself in for a relaxing facial (with me for only €28- cheeky!!) to deeply cleanse, soothe, calm and nourish your skin.
Budget Mask Recipe: Mix half and avocado, half a banana, a spoon of natural yoghurt and a sprinkle of olive oil in a bowl. Spread over clean skin and leave for 15 mins. Rinse off, and then apply your night cream.
Your skin will be back to itself in no time!
