Very excited about this post...........myself and Anne worked together for the first time on a spring/summer trends shoot last month. We teamed up with the inspirational Kath Oniszk Photography (http://www.facebook.com/#!/Kath.Oniszk) and I'm totally in love with the shots she produced. Modelling for us was the stunning Marie Esmonde (http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=633200214), I have worked with her a lot over the past year, not only is she great fun to be around but she guarantees stunning results.
I sourced all the clothes and accessories from River Island and A|Wear - except for the shoes which were Marie's and the earrings were mine and Marie's. We shot on location at The Dolmen Hotel, Carlow.
These are some of my favourite shots from the shoot
New Nautical - Swallow print tee €20, nautical print circle skirt €35, neon watch €10, coral purse €15, all from A|wear; animal print sunglasses €17, River Island

The spring/summer fashion season begins now girls! Thanks to milder brighter weather, the urge to pick up new season updates can no longer be ignored. The best way to begin your switch over to spring is colour injection. The trend palette is wide open from pretty pastels to lively neons and brilliant brights. Pick your palette and watch your dull neutrals receive an instant spring in their step.
Your transition from winter to spring is underway; our next task is giving a new lease of life to last summer’s closet by dabbling in print. Floral prints have a strong store presence and are in full bloom at this time of year. If you’re looking for a print with more va-va-voom however, then the car print is for you! Straight off the catwalks of Prada, you can grab this designer print with a highstreet price tag in our local River Island.
The Peplum is my personal favourite trend. Flares on the waist of dresses were a hot detail for autumn/winter but this season sees us get our kick for flares through separates. Look no further than A|wear Carlow for peplum skirts, or try tops with a flared waist, perfect for changing the silhouette of a pencil skirt or up-styling your skinnies.
Don’t be overwhelmed by catwalk trends. View them as your inspiration for style and not as a rule book. For our shoot I was inspired by the Monochrome Look (blocks of black and white) from the runways of Chanel and Lanvin. I spiced this trend up by teaming it with a star print jacket from River Island. You too can do the same. Select details from your favourite trends and mix with your existing wardrobe or take a trend and add your personal twist.
