Last night I went to our local Tapas bar, Mimosa, with the hubby. I decided to wear a pair of Zara shorts that I had bought 2 years ago for a trip to Italy. When I think about it, I actually don't believe I have worn them since. I'm a jeans or a dress kinda girl but when we're on holidays we can be someone different. The sun was shining yesterday afternoon when I was choosing what to wear (and had been all week) and it really felt like we were on holidays, the air felt different and maybe that's what inspired me to slip into my Zara shorts once again.
For today's 'Saturday Night Styling' post I have attempted to recreate my look with some online finds. Hope you like!!!
Thrilled with the shorts below that I have found for my lovely readers. They are practically identical to my pair, apart from the obvious difference in the print. The cut, the button detailing at the waist and the pockets are exactly like mine. They are a dressy fabric and a nice length, not too short. I love them and hope you do too. What I adore about any clothing with a print is the fun we can have matching accessories and making different colours pop in the print. Everytime you wear the shorts you can team with a different colour top or style with different accessories.

Personally I feel a vibrant blue hue works brilliantly with the print. I also found the below top on Zara and I think the sleeves are perfect on this as it gives a little coverage seen as our legs are totally on show in the shorts. Ladies, if you feel the shorts are daring enough you can easily team them with a simple black top.

Styling Tips
More colour options; Red would look fabulous, if wearing printed shorts is daring enough for you, black would be a classic choice, yellow would really work also, definitely for the brave though. And of course as in the images above you could team with white.
Similar to my look I have chosen the shoe colour to match the top. I like outfits to be co-ordinated and I feel matching the top to the shoes brings the look together and showcases the shorts as the focal point of the outfit. These sandals are from New Look. I find New Look brilliant for shoes, firstly because they are so affordable and secondly any pair I have bought are so comfy.

To finish the look I found a coverup similar to mine. The one I'm wearing is Savida and I bought it two years ago (I think). What's brilliant about it is the length, it works perfect over a dress also and I especially love it over my skinny jeans. The duster coats are huge this season so you will find lots of choice online and in stores.
