How I made my Walk in Wardrobe.........Part 1

Standing between most of us and our dream dressing room is SPACE. I have four bedrooms in my house - my husband and I occupy one and both my sons have a room each, our fourth room has been my office for the past 3 years. Recently it dawned on me, my office is only used by me and my work revolves around clothes and accessories - so why not marry the two!!! HOW did I not think of this before?

I also have Vicky Mooney - my curvy model crush - to thank for inspiring me. I was in Vicky's house back in June putting together looks for a shoot and absolutely loved how she had her accessories displayed. All her necklaces, earrings, bracelets etc were on show, hanging from hooks and stands on the walls and shelves of her bathroom. While back at my place my collection of bling was piled into numberous drawers of my dressing table and chest of drawers. I wanted what Vicky had and so with my creative hat on I came up with my Walk in Wardrobe/Office plan :)

My new dressing room is still a work in progress (I need to sort out all my shoes in particular) but here are some pics of how it looks so far........

I had such fun creating my new accessory display and it only cost me €2.98! I purchased a pack of white and clear hooks from 4Home for €1.99 and a pack for metal hooks in Harry Corry's for 99c. The pocket accessory organiser hanging on the wall above, I already had. Originally it had a wooden bar going through the top of it with a metal hook, but it broke due to overload! Rather than throw it out I decided to attach a trouser hanger to it. You can buy then in Penneys (Primark) for €4.

The accessory trays above belonged to my son which before I got my hands on it was a colouring set. I unscrewed the case, took it apart and painted the inside white.

And this stand began its life as a mug tree - I resurrected it from the shed giving it a new more glamorous role.

The above is a door off an old cabinet. My hubbie turned it on its side, screwed a hook into each corner and fixed it onto the wall. I added some suction cups to the glass which fell down a few minutes later :( To ensure they stayed in place the second time I added double sided sticky tape.
