Happy Saturday everyone!! I'm having a lovely lazy day, literally only got dressed at lunchtime! But isn't that what Saturday's off are for? My eldest son Dylan is home for the weekend (yippee!). I adore having both of my Sons together, so we're just hanging around for the day catching up with Dylan. We did manage to fit in a quick cuppa at my parents house.
Today's post is all about giving you lots of tips on how to slim your tummy. Our Tummy's are one of the main areas we all have issues with (whether it's warranted or not). Firstly you need to know that to slim an area of your body you must give it no attention and instead draw attention to other areas of your body. In order to ignore our tummy's we must avoid any detailing around the tummy area such as embellishments, buckles, bows and so on. Then draw attention to the parts of your body that you love and this is how.........
Tummy Tuck, Tip 1
Adding volume to your upper half, has a slimming effect on your tummy, hips and bum. This season it has never been easier to find tops that boast sleeves with volume. It is such a big trend right now and I'm delighted that it will continue through Autumn Winter. The volume on the sleeves broadens your shoulder making your tummy and waist look slimmer. It also draws attention away from your tummy area.

Tummy Tuck, Tip 2
Have you been checking out all the new arrivals in store and online? The cape detail on tops and dresses seems to be everywhere and I'm loving it. Similar to the previous top with voluminous sleeves, the cape detail also adds volume, thus slimming your tum and drawing the eye of the onlooker to your fabulous cape feature.

Guys I'm delighted to tell you that the kimono is still popping up everywhere. Kimono's are brilliant for adding glamour, adding a pop of colour, or adding a fabulous print to a simple dress or a plain top and jeans combo. But how does it slim your tummy? Wearing a long-line kimono or jacket open, draws the eye downwards creating a slimming effect. Remember to choose a style that goes past your hips. There are some styles out there that stop just past your waist and this won't have the same effect.

Tummy Tuck, Tip 4
Next up is a dressy bardot top. The off the shoulder detail is very trendy at the moment so you will have no problem finding lots of options. The idea here is that the attention is drawn to your shoulders with the flash of skin. Your decolletage is a very sexy part of the body that can be forgotten about, show it off ladies! Many of the bardot tops available come without straps, but personally I find them uncomfortable to wear. The simple skinny strap on this top makes it much more comfy, there'll be no issues with the top popping up over your shoulders or worse yet sliding down too far. I'm really loving all the detail on this top; the long sleeves with statement cuffs, the obvious off the shoulder detail, the gorgeous tie detail and the glamorous silky fabric.

Tummy Tuck, Tip 5
Ladies the wrap dress is the friend of anyone with tummy and/or big boob issues. It cuts across these problem areas and draws the eye downwards. The frill is a lovely detail on this particular dress keeping the onlookers eye on your upper half and away from your tummy. The skirt is slightly full and falls naturally over your hips. Another little detail that doesn't get enough credit is the width of our straps. The straps on this dress are wide and this has a well received slimming effect on boobs and tummies.

Tummy Tuck, Tip 6
When it comes to selecting flattering skirts the A-Line silhouette is your best friend!! Avoid pencil skirts. The A-line shape gradually gets wider and brings balance to your tummy. Also you can look for this feature on dresses. The skirt I have selected not only has the A-Line shape, it also boasts a statement pleat detail which will catch peoples eyes and particularly works well if you want your legs to get some attention.
