Shoes have the ability to control what you can wear every time you browse through your wardrobe. Your shoes (or lack of the right shoes) are the big decision makers!! They finish off your look, they can make or they can break your look. Shoes have the ultimate power of deciding if an outfit will be casual or smart. So I guess what I'm saying is Shoes deserve Attention.
I have put together my Must have shoes to help you build your Capsule Summer Wardrobe. Your capsule shoe collection should all be in neutral colours. This gives you the option of styling them with any colour. Once you have your capsule pieces in neutral colours you can then build on your shoe collection with colours, prints and on-trend details and even have some fun!
Styling Tip
I always have a shopping list in the notes of my phone and as I discover gaps in my wardrobe I add them to this list. It is so handy as it means anytime you have some spare cash to treat yourself to something new you can pick something from your list and it will instantly help you wear your existing clothes more. At the moment I have neutral brogues on my list. I have a metallic pair of brogues and I'm getting so much wear out of them that I figured another neutral pair would be perfect to have.
Shoe Style One
The Nude Shoe is a no brainer. Nude matches every colour you team it with and it also boasts leg lengthening qualities. They are a brilliant choice of shoe for all year round. Ok so I have found two styles of nude shoe for you to choose from. First up is a court shoe and second is a strappy style. Personally I prefer to wear strappy styles but it's entirely up to you which you choose.
Styling Tip
If you have short legs avoid strappy sandals as they cut you off at the ankle. Stick with a court style.

Shoe Style Two
The tan sandal, again as with the nude shoe above these will be your go to for everything summer casual. I have found two options, one with a heel and one without. Personally as I have a high instep flats are not good for me so I would choose the heeled style. You can wear either style with Summer dresses, skirts, shorts and your fave jeans.

Shoe Style Three
A black shoe is my next must have for your capsule wardrobe. You more than likely already own a pair but because we get so much wear from them, you must remember to update them every now then as they can before worn and outdated. I have found two pairs one with a 3.5" heel and the other with a 5.5" heel for the braver (these do have a platform making them feel not so high)

Shoe Style Three
I live in ankle boots, apart from the past few weeks since we have been getting such warm weather. At the moment I have a wine pair, black pair and a khaki pair, all of which I wear to death. I previously owned a grey pair and that's definitely something I have on my shopping list for next season. Grey is a terrific neutral boot to have in your wardrobe. I have found two gorgeous styles for you to choose from.

Shoe Style Four
My next shoe style to add to your capsule wardrobe is the comfy run-around. I have to admit it's only in recent years that I decided these are a must. I simply let me feet suffer for fashion but mainly because of my love of heels. I have selected a Khaki pair, as I think Khaki is a great neutral and also it's a great colour for all year round.
