What Women Want......Occasional Dresses with Sleeves

If there's only thing I've learned from working in the fashion industry it's that women want sleeves!!! So why if we all love, want, need sleeves is it one of the hardest things to find in a dress?? Just because it's summer and the temperatures are higher does not change the fact that the majority of women hate their upper arms. Hiding our bingo wings isn't the only reason we want sleeves, for an occasion ladies find that if the dress is sleeveless then a cover-up is essential, meaning an extra purchase and extra hassle trying to find wraps, jackets, cardies to suit. The sleeve is what many of us look for especially for occasional dresses and I have found some very temptingly gorgeous dresses with the infamous sleeve.

V by Very's Crochet dress is not by any means lacking in detail and what beautiful detailing it is. The blooms are feminine and pretty as is the crochet. The dress is available in sizes 8 to 24 and is such a good price. The sleeves are a lovely length not too short and not too long. I really like this dress and think Littlewoods have really upped their game with their V by Very collection anytime I log on for a browse I'm always guaranteed that something will catch my stylish eye.

The Azelia printed dress is in a lovely long lenght to the knee which can be difficult to get in a skater style dress. However for the petite ladies it does also come in a shorter length. Size wise it is available in an XS, S, M and L. The Shorter lenght also comes in a cream colour, personally I love this vibrant blue hue. Not only does this dress boast sleeves but the sleeves are the main feature with a gorgeous sheerness and the beautiful flute shape.

Oh God I totally love this dress, the floral print is simply beautiful. When print shopping a good tip to remember is for slim petite ladies choose a petite print that won't swamp your figure and for the curvier lady go for a larger print that will have a slimming effect on your curves. The dress is available in sizes 8 to 18. The open back I admit won't be for everyone but don't be afraid to try it there are backless bra options and the more daring can go braless.

The Wendy dress from iClothing also comes in Cerise Pink, Blue and Navy and is available in sizes 8 to 16. A cap sleeve sometimes is all we need, that small piece of fabric makes such a difference coverage wise and also when it comes to slimming down your shape. This is a lovely length and the sheerness at the hem keeps it stylish and light.

Navy is a stunning alternative to black especially in summer. What a feminine style this is I can just imagine myself twirling in this dress with a big girly grin on my face. You gotta love the sheer sleeves with the floral applique and the back detail is so simple but so sexy. Dress available is sizes 6 to 18.
