It's week 2 of my new feature.....Building an Everyday Wardrobe. This week my focus piece is the DENIM JEANS.
I think everyone will agree that finding your perfect pair of denims is one of the hardest shopping tasks!! There are of course certain styles that will suit different body shapes. However styles and cuts vary from shop to shop for instance a mid rise denim in one store may sit lower on your tummy than a mid rise in the next store. So as much as you might hate hearing this, trying on and then trying on some more is the only way to find your perfect fit. And that is why you should only go denim shopping when you have time to spend trying on different pairs. For building a capsule wardrobe the best colour denims to start with are a dark wash as they are timeless and look much smarter than any other colour making them more versatile for different occasions.
The Strawberry Shape
As a strawberry shape your best features are your slim legs so show them off in Skinny jeans. Once you have added dark denims to your wardrobe you can then build your collection by adding coloured skinnies which will ensure your legs get the attention they deserve!!!

The Pear Shape
As a pear shape you have curvy hips and thighs so go for a bootcut denim to balance your shape making your hips and thighs look slimmer.

As a straight shape you are lacking curves so choose a super skinny denim to showcase your slim legs, the narrow legs of the skinny denim will make your bum look curvier.

The Hourglass Shape
As an hourglass you have a curvy shape and the best shape for you is the bootleg but most of you can also carry off the skinny denim!

The Apple Shape
As an apple shape you carry most of your weight around your tummy, the best style of denims is the bootcut but look for a style with built in tummy support like these ones from Next or try a mid rise or a high rise waist.
