Two valuable reasons why the Parka is your must have coat when living in Ireland...........firstly we pretty much have all year round miserable weather and secondly we are watching the pennies so when we splash out on a big purchase such as outerwear we want (need) a coat that is a timeless recurring trend. The parka ticks all the boxes plus it looks effortlessly stylish with any outfit.

My third pick is slightly different from the usual parka but I adore it. Grey is a fantastic neutral colour and will look fab with practically any colour skinnies. This jacket is a bit pricier but the detailing makes it worth it and again it is a coat you will have in your wardrobe for years.

Now time for my absolute favourite parka. I came across this River Island jacket on ASOS last week and since then it has been reduced to just under €90 so it's a bargain too :-) Whenever I purchase a jacket I always look for a style with a classy/glamorous feature - that way even when I'm racing to the school in my jeans and boots I always looked dressed up! For me the fitted inner coat streamlines the otherwise slouchy look of the parka and the large fur trim looks stylishly glamorous.
